I've been itching to give our home office a makeover.  Until now, it hasn't been a room that I have spent a lot of time on since all we've been doing in there is...working :/  But then I realized, if I want to look forward to going into the office to work from home, I should spruce it up.  AND (between you & I this is the real motivator), I want to create a space that will spark creativity as I continue to work on this blog and connect with all of you!

 It's December friends!  The holiday season is here!  I've had such fun over the last week or so going through and decorating the house so I wanted to share everything I've done with you.  I'd love to hear your thoughts or see what you are doing - tag me in your instagram pics with @littlehouseinlittleton!

As you have probably been able to tell from many of the home pictures I have posted, I like books...like really like them....like have more of them than I have space for.   But I can't help it.  Ever since I was little, I would get lost in stories.  Reading in the morning before school, before bed, for hours on the beach, for a whole Saturday with a cup of tea in a comfy arm chair.  Reading was my time.  My relaxation, my creativity inspiration, my fun.

When we were house hunting and walked into the house that would one day be ours, there were many things that I loved - a huge yard I could picture our soon to be daughter playing in, a huge finished basement where we could spend cozy nice, two fantastic fireplaces with gorgeous stone facades.  However, no where on this list would you find the kitchen.

At the end of 2014, Kevin and I knew that we wanted to expand our family and we knew we would need more space to do it (the one bedroom condo we were living in was not going to cut it)!  Thus we started our harrowing - and exciting! - home search.  Because we started our search in the winter, there was a lot of inventory on the market, but we did end up finding a small house with 3 bedroom, a HUGE yard and lots of potential in metrowest Massachusetts that seemed perfect for us.
